Why is Calibration so Important?

Why is Calibration so Important?

Calibration defines the accuracy and quality of measurements recorded, over time the accuracy of devices will decrease. It is important to calibrate/service equipment regularly throughout its lifetime, so you can be confident with the results being measured.

Why Test & Calibrate Regulary

  • To maintain practice accreditation and comply with RACGP Guidelines and current Australian standards for medical equipment.
  • Electrical safety testing is mandatory to comply with Worksafe or Workcover regulations and to ensure patient and user safety always.
  • To ensure correct readings on medical devices for accurate diagnosis.
  • To lower infection risk to your patients by properly maintaining your autoclave ensuring it is working as it should be.

Don't put your patients and staff at risk by waiting until accreditation is due to calibrate/service your equipment.
